Relational Therapy for Couples
Couples generally come to therapy in crisis, when they have reached the end of the road and the decision is made to seek out help to try and save the relationship, marriage or partnership or to split up. Alternatively couples may feel there are aspects of your relationship that need attention with issues and disputes occurring around their sex life and intimacy, children, finances and others.

Relational Therapy allows clients to explore how they react and behave in their romantic relationship and understand patterns that could be difficult for their partner to understand and respond to. The relationship between the couple is at the core of the work. There is time spent investigating individual difficulties but always with the relationship held in mind and a focus on how the individual issue may be affecting the relationship.

Time permitting the first session is 100 minutes and thereafter sessions are held weekly for 60 minutes. Therapy is directive and supportive of each couples individual needs and issues.

I offer an initial consultation by phone or online to both parties individually to get a feel for what I can offer and to get an understanding of some of the issues therapy could support.
